Georgana Ekpo

Ms. Ekpo is a St. Louis native who has been practicing law in Missouri since graduating from Washington University School of Law in 2012.
In law school she received the prestigious Order of Barristers award for excellence in advocacy and brief writing. She was also awarded the Equal Justice Works for a demonstrated commitment to increasing access to justice and fairness. Ms. Ekpo also holds an MBA from Webster University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis where she double majored in History and African/African-American Studies.
Before law school, Ms. Ekpo taught 7th grade in the Bronx, NY, as a New York City Teaching Fellow. She also worked as an international union organizer for several years, traveling around the country to advocate for the rights of working people.
Ms. Ekpo has always been drawn to service and helping professions. She became an attorney to help to empower people with humble backgrounds like her own, who are often disenfranchised and marginalized.
After law school, Ms. Ekpo handled a wide array of litigation matters at law firms. She also practiced municipal law as in-house counsel for the city government and handled some of their insurance defense cases. Ms. Ekpo has also taught as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Wash U Law, in their Pretrial Advocacy and Settlement Program.
When Ms. Ekpo isn’t litigating cases, she enjoys baking, creative Bible journaling, and travel.
